They never take a look at their current life values. Don discusses a better process for setting goals each year in this mini-series that starts with identifying your values before thinking about your goals.
With how challenging 2020 has been, Don offers inspiration to find those small nuggets of things to be thankful for this year. He shares how sports broadcasters really seek out little tidbits of information, some that may never be used, and spend hours doing so. This pandemic situation flipped our lives upside down. I lost all of my income from broadcasting and public speaking. It would’ve been easy to throw up my arms and tell myself it was all a lost cause. I could’ve weaponized my own mindset against myself. Instead, I put up my defense wall and I used my mindset as my greatest asset. I improved relationships, decluttered, learned, and lost weight…a lot of weight. Over seven months, I’ve gone from 320 pounds to 260 pounds. How? I saw myself ready to fall victim to friendly fire and instead of weaponizing my mindset, I chose to find the good that could come out of my situation instead.
